Because of the great demand of patients, the USTHYEMEN is usually making expansions once in a while, to cover the patient’s demands.

In occasion of forth anniversary of opening hospital, USTHYEMEN opened and started the working in open heart surgery center in 20-04-2009.USTHYEMEN made a symposium for this occasion.

In occasion of forth anniversary of opening hospital, USTHYEMEN opened the modern labs center in 19-02-2009, which include new expansions, and modern devices .PCR devices, and some other devices are the first time entered to health section in Yemen, so the USTHYEMEN labs center is a reference to health section in Yemen.

USTHYEMEN opened 14 new clinics to join the capacity of the hospital 50 clinics to become recently 64 clinics.

With each new expand in the hospital, new modern devices have been added to new expands .One of this devices which added to radiology center is the modern MRI, which has the following specifications:

·         High-speed in work of MRI is 1.5 Tesla.

·         Making image of whole human body with high quality .

·         The patient feel completely comfortable during test ,because of the prevention of loud sounds.

·         Special program for making image of heart, and blood vessels.

·         Special program for mammography, and early detection of cancer.

        Also the radiography center has new device called CT scan 128 slice , which is the first scan device in health  
        section in Yemen ,which is also the most modern device of siemense productions .It has the following
        specifications :

·         High-speed in imaging patients, 128 slices per single cycle.

·         The single cycle speed is 0.3 of second.

·         Ability ,and clarity of image is 0.33 mm.

·         Lack of patient’s exposure to radiation.

·         3 dimension program.

·         Cardiography CT study coronary arteries ,aortic valve and ventrides analysis.

Because of caring the different healthy activities, keeping to educate the society to keep their  life healthy, to know everything new in medical field ; USTHYEMEN made and hosted several healthy conferences in Yemen, besides to participate the cadres in international conferences in several of foreign and Arabic countries.

Ø  Cancer symposium  in 04/02/2009 to definite the cancer ,it’s symptoms, problems ,and the available solutions.
